TRI-TEL PAYMENT LOCATIONS - IPP (In Person Payment)

 

  1. Call Tri-Tel customer service (212) 962-5547  and give us your zip code to find out the nearest IPP location or click for payment locations. ( There are over 500 locations)
  2. You must put your area code and telephone as your ACCOUNT NUMBER (XXX) XXX-XXXX on IPP form.

 

CHARGES EXPLANATIONS AND/OR DEFINITIONS 

Federal Subscriber Line Charge or FCC Line Charge

This is a government-imposed charge where lines are charged $5.00 (residential) for the first line $6.39 for each additional line (residential) and $8.08 for each business line. These charges are common to all phone companies and the charges are consistent from company to company. The commission uses these monies for programs for fixed income and welfare recipients and to enforce rules and regulations set up to protect the consumer in general. 

Local Number Portability

All lines are charged a mandatory $.23 which is to maintain a system set up to ensure that the consumer is free to switch carriers without changing the phone number.

Federal Universal Service Fund Tax Surcharge -5 Boroughs

Tax ($.45) imposed by Federal Government for enhancements to the emergency (911) system.

Basic Line Business

Dial tone charge for a single business line, which is $14.96

Basic Residential Line

Dial tone for a single residential fine, which is $5.80  

Universal service tax

This fund is mandated by the government for all local carriers. It goes to schools, library and other public places in the state that you live in. It ranges from 3 to 9 % of your total telephone bill.
