    CALL FORWARDING

     HOW IT WORKS

Forwards calls coming to your house to any number of your choice even a cell phone pager!

To activate:

  1. Press 72 and then "#" (just 72 from a rotary phone).
  2. Wait for the dial tone.
  3. When you get a dial tone, dial the number where the call is to be forwarded.  If the number you are forwarding to has a different area code than your home phone, you need to dial 1 + the area code.
  4. You will hear 2 short beeps and then normal ringing.  You will be charged for any local or long distance calls that are sent to the forwarding number.
  5. When the party answers, (or it is picked up by an answering machine or Voice Mail) Call Forwarding is turned on.  If the phone is not answered, or the line is busy, hang up and repeat the process.  No answer is required to turn on Call Forwarding on the second attempt.
  6. To deactivate Call Forwarding, press 73 and then # (just 73 from a rotary phone).

TROUBLESHOOTING

If you dial the wrong number when programming the Call Forwarding, you need to deactivate the feature by pressing 73#.  Then, start over.
