         CALLER ID

HOW IT WORKS


Caller ID: Displays the telephone number of the incoming call on a customer provided compatible Caller ID Box.

Caller ID with Name: Caller ID with the caller's name displayed on a customer provided compatible Caller ID with Name Box.

Call Waiting ID Provides telephone number of incoming call when on the line with an existing call on a customer provided compatible Call Waiting ID Box.  You must also have Call Waiting for this feature to work.

Call Waiting ID with Name Call Waiting ID with incoming caller's name displayed on a customer provided compatible Call Waiting ID with Name Box.

Call Manager Displays the telephone number of the new incoming call when on a call. Party can take the new call, forward to Voice Mail, send to a message announcement saying "please hold" or "please call back", or conference in the new caller. This feature requires additional equipment provided by the customer.

Call Manager with Name Displays the name and telephone number of the new incoming call. This feature requires additional equipment

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem: CID box is not displaying any information.

Question: Do the batteries need to be changed? / Is it plugged in?


Solution: Replace the batteries, plug it in; if plugging it in does not work, test the electrical outlet with another appliance to make sure the outlet works.

Problem: CID box is not displaying any information. / My phone stopped working when I plugged in the CID box.
Question: Are the cords connected correctly?


Solution: The line from the wall-jack should go directly into the Caller ID box in the "Line In" or "Line" plug. There should also be a line coming from the Caller ID box from "Line Out" or "Telephone" plug to the phone.

Problem: When I'm on the phone, and I receive another call, my CID box does not display the new caller's information.
Question: Do you have the correct box?


Solution: Make sure that you have the box that matches your feature. Look at your phone bill to see what Caller ID feature you have. Also, if you upgraded Caller ID features recently, make sure that you purchase the correct box to match your Caller ID feature.

Problem: When I'm on the phone, and I receive another call, my CID box does not display the new caller's information.
Question: Are you on the phone that is plugged into the Caller ID box?


Solution: When you are on a call and another call comes in, the Call Waiting ID information will not appear unless you are speaking on the phone that is attached to the box.

Problem: My Caller ID box is not displaying any information.
Question: Does the box have a re-set button?


Solution: If the box has a re-set button, press it now. Have someone call you to see if it is working.
