       SPEED DIAL

HOW IT WORKS

Allows you to program frequently dialed numbers into your phone, which you can then dial with a few keystrokes.

To program Speed Dial 8:

  1. Dial 74# and wait for the dial tone.
  2. Dial 1 digit code selected from 2-9.
  3. Dial the number you wish to assign to that code (area code needed only if different than your's).
  4. There will be 2 beeps followed by a dial tone meaning the number has been programmed.
  5. To dial a programmed number dial the code you assigned and then # (i.e. 6#).

To program Speed Dial 30:

  1. Dial 75# and wait for the dial tone.
  2. Dial a 2 digit code selected from 20-49.
  3. Dial the number you wish to assign to that code (area code needed only if different than your's).
  4. There will be 2 beeps followed by a dial tone meaning the number has been programmed.
  5. To dial a programmed number dial the code you assigned and then # (i.e. 27#).
  6. To deactivate Call Forwarding, press 73 and then # (just 73 from a rotary phone).

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem: You forgot what numbers were programmed into a code.

Solution: You would need to re-program the numbers and write them down in a place where you will not lose them.  For your privacy, there is no way MetTel can find out what numbers you programmed in each location.

FAQ's

Question: Can I get Speed Dialing 8 and Speed Dialing 30 so that I can program 38 numbers?
Answer: No, you can only have one Speed Dialing feature.
